Wow! Another set of reserved seats for the OBCs. Time for them to rejoice and decide to give votes to their ‘favorite party’ who (so called) thought about them.
After all this is what these stinking politicians are looking for.
Look at the future of the country where the professionals have their academic score around 60% - 70%. I have an example where a fellow student scored mere 60% in higher secondary exams and today is a qualified doctor under the SC quota. I fail to understand that what treatment these kinds of doctors will give to their patients. I think that in hospital notice boards, it should be clearly mentioned that the concerned doctor belongs to the reserved category or the general, so that the patients avoid taking unnecessary risks on their lives. Also, all these so called reserved category people should be hired exclusively for the politicians and people favoring them so that next time they also think twice before taking any such decision.
I’ve noticed that this discrimination is turning the other way round now. Earlier SC, ST and OBCs used to feel discriminated in the society but now they are so much favored by the politicians (only to fill their vote banks), that every general category student do regret to be one of them, once in his life. Even I did so.
There should be no reservation for anyone in the country. All the seats should be open to all. Let there be a healthy competition. The one who deserves will automatically be there.
I think it is illegal to discriminate anyone on the basis of caste and I am totally in favor of it. But why this act suddenly becomes legal when it comes to reservation. Is it only because here this discrimination is in their favor? Think about it!
OBC is reaping benefit from this politics for generations now. I don't see any reason why Govt of India is thinking just the opposite of the trends that are here in this age of globalisation for us to reap. India aims to become the super power with the reserved force of unworthy candidates....Pathetic...Arjun Singh Murdabad!
V.P Singh then the Prime Minister in 1990 did a great job by implementing the Mandal Commission. No doubts, there are some people who are taking undue advantage despite the fact that they come in creamy layer.

I have heard this ’over centuries’ logic so many times. My simple question is if you think that the current generation must pay for the crimes of previous centuries, then if say a father in a family dies in prison without completing his sentence, would the son take that punishment for his crimes by completing the sentence in prison??? insane, is it not. So is the same with your logic of balancing the past with present. Two wrongs do not make a right.
The million dollar question here is ... On what basis do these OBC people should be given preference? Financial aid, as attitude has pointed out, is fine, but to give them an edge over other merit holder students of open class raises another question...
Are the OBCs low on brain?? Agreed they belong to backward class, but is it got anything to do with their intellectual capacity?
If an OBC student with 60% aggregate is preferred over an open class student with 90% aggregate, then this shows that the society, and the OBCs themselves, agree that they belong to the Mentally Backward Class.
I am afraid, if India is entrusted to these Mentally Backward Class (MBC) peoples then very soon we will have to suffer the consequences.
Whether it is the votebank policy of those stinkin politicos or it has got to do with somethingthing else, but the situation is grave.
I think this calls for a revolution... against the MBC, or OBC as they prefer to be called!
Let me make it very clear that I do not fall in reservation category. Without questioning you integrity I would like to point out that my “logic might have gone over you head” and you misunderstood it. You are thinking from your perspective or for a few upper classes. I am against the reservation for those who come under creamy layer but I am in favor of the reservation for those who are economically backward. All human being is born with equal talent but circumstances prevent them to achieve what they deserve for. Apparently, your argument is based on “Welfare Society” No doubts, our country [India] is a Welfare Society but we have to go miles to achieve our dreams. As an Indian, don’t you want to see India a developed country where basic needs are fulfilled to all? Will you not be proud when the citizen of other countries will recognize you as an Indian?
Friends, I respect your viewpoints on RESERVATION and my views on reservation may be insane as you mentioned in you comment. As a friend, I am asking you, do you have any alternative / concert solution?
I am sorry if my words hurt your feelings.

Think about those as well who are studying really hard to get thru in their competencies.
And by saying, studying really hard i mean reeeeeaaaallly hard.
Its too tough to make expert comment on such issue. As such it is quiet obvious. Commonsense says your point of view is undoubtedly correct but I wonder how far this important subject is in direct hands of politicians to deal and manuplate with. As far as my point of view for reservation is concerned; it should be according to financial status as well as individual calibre.
I respect your comment as well as your feelings towards those students who are studying really hard to get thru in their competencies. I am also one of those students who did not get through [Civil Services 1996-2000] because I do not fall in reservation category and I am still disappointed not to get through. The question is who will scarify? What will happen to those who are socially and economically backward? How [backward classes] they can be brought in mainstream? If there is inequality there will be violence. There is violence there will be no peace and without peace we can not think of a civil society. For a developed county civil society is prerequisite.
Dear, I am quoting your this statement [So why dont people like u only decide to avail their services coz we don’t want any unnecessary risk] and appreciate your sense of responsibility to put this question before me. Let me tell you that I am a common responsible citizen of India. I am not in a decision making body/ committee.
