Why India can never be a Superpower?

I was merely commenting on a story but wrote this post. I think its the frustration inside me against the govt, which i’m jotting down.

India needs improvement in many spheres. Specially the govt sector. Believe me its pathetic. If we see the productivity of Govt offices, it would hardly be 50% and that too after taking bribes. Which reminds me of corruption. Then comes the unprofessional approach. People stand in the ques and the officers are busy chatting or having tea and snacks. These are my personal experiences.

We even saw the condition of Indian police in this attack. They don’t have proper bullet proof jackets. ATS chief is not provided with a bullet proof vehicle(which are standing in ques at the politicians houses). They are sent upfront with service revolvers or antique rifles to face the terrorist holding AKs. Is this a joke or what? I really could not understand. How easily our top officials got killed in the early hours of the attack. What gave me the biggest shock was that few policemen were on duty with laathis (stick) in their hands. What the hell...obviously they were killed.

The jackets that they wore during the attack failed the quality tests. But still they were given to the policemen to wear. What a shame! May I ask the govt that where does they spend the money which we pay in the form of taxes? Why is our police dept and security agencies not ready with the required equipments at the time of emergency? Why are policemen (specially at the lower posts) paid so less, while according to the nature of their job they should be paid very high? Why are you people corrupt from head to toe?

Each of the minister needs a private helicopter or a plane to travel from one place to another. Not even that, their families and relatives also fly on the govt expenses. May i know why? Are we paying our hard earned money in the form of taxes for their luxuries? Why can’t you cut off on these unnecessary expenditures and spend them on Security agencies?

My list of questions will never end and i’m sure this is not just me. Millions of Indians have these questions on their minds. Will they ever get an answer? Will you guys ever stop thinking about your selfish motives and act in favor of the nation.

Pakistan or the terrorists are to be blamed later, ALL the corrupt Indians are to be blamed first for the condition of our country. “India is developing, India is future superpower”. If this is the attitude then India will always remain at the developing phase only and will never be a superpower.

I would love to be proved wrong on my last statement...

Rising corruption is a serious concern in India. Everybody knows that more than 50% of the govt employees do not even move without bribing them. We should know the reason for this. May be they are not paid well, that's why. A solution is surely needed.

I don’t think its about the money. People take bribes from peon level to the minister level and similarly there are people from the peon level to the minister level who do not take a single penny as bribe.

So its about individual greed, i suppose.

Arvind, even if 80% of the Indians says no to corruption, India will definitely touch the sky. Isn’t it? As i mentioned in the article, corrupt Indians are the root of all the problems in the country.

@Sanwali

I don’t know what your experience is but as far as I am concerned I have experienced that in most the government offices percentage of hard working and efficient employees is far less than ones not making any significant contribution. In other words, competence of a single individual is ,at present, balancing the misdeeds of incompetent souls. And I don’t think we are going to see a major change in the ratio in future. Anyway, I will be happy to see an increase in good people but even if it does not change we should not fell disappointed.

On the contrary, we should try to do our best all the times irrespective of whether we get support from people or not .It’s time to realize that there ”Kauravas” will always more than ”Pandavas

I am still optimistic, hoping for a ray of light in the darkness which has engulfed us totally. The post Mumbai 26/11 march in Mumbai is a pointer towards that fond hope. This country has a peculiar characteristics to rise at the time of crisis. But this time, the urbanites have risen to raise voice, that too loudly, against the corrupt, thorough corrupt, politicians who have taken the electorate taken for granted.

BHOOUKANA JAARI RAHEIN

Jayant Bhai Bahut Achha Laga Hindi Mein Pratikriya Padhkar.

Ab Kuch Vishuddha Allahabadi Buddhijivi Ke Tarh Thodi “Bakaiti” ( Allahabadi word used to represent hi-fi words suggesting nothing) Karna Chahonga.

Bhaiyaa Baat Yeh Hai Ki Jo Kuch Aatnkvadiyoen Ne Kiya Woh Theek Hi Kia Hai.

Kuch Bade Logo Ko Tapka Diya “ Taj ” Vagairah Mein To Sabki Neend Chali Gayi Jo Abhi Tak Hindu Aatankvaad Par Shodh Kar Rahe Thein Bajayen Asli Aatankvaad Ko Nashta Karne Ke.

Jab Tak Gareeb Log Maarein Ja Rahe Thein Sab Khamosh Baith Kar Nautanki Kar Rahe Thein.

Jayant Bhai Abhi Bhi Hamari Buddhi Bhrashta Hi Hai .

Sab Jagah “Taj” Ki Photo Dikhaye Ja Rahi Hai .Jaisein Ki Taj Aur Usmein Rahnein Wale Hi Sab Kuch Hai .

Kuch Karne Ke Naam Par Sirf Dikhavati Baatcheet Chal Rahi Hai.Kuch Dino Baad Yeh Sab Bhi Tai-Tai Fissha Ho Jayega !!

Humse Keha Ja Reha Hai Angreezi Laat Shahabhon Ke Dvara Ki “America Mat Bano” Kyonki Yeh To “JINGOISM” Hai.

Matlab Ki Agar American Khallas Ho To Unke Dvara Sab Kuch Karna Sahi “PATRIOTISM” Hai Par Agar Bharatiya Kuttein Ki Maut Marte Hai Aur Bharat Kuch Sakhta Kadam Uthayein To Woh “ JINGOISM “ Hai.

WAH BHAI WAH !! JAI OXFORD/HARVARD BUDDHIJIVIYOEN KI …INKI BAAR BAAR MAI JAI KARTA HOEN.

Mughe Bahut Khushi Hogi Ki Aatankvaadi Dosri Baar Phir Isi Tarah Bada Hamla Kare.Aur Is Baar Kuch Bade Britishers Aur Bade American Ke Saath Kuch Tathakthit Dharmanikshepa Bade Bharatiya Neta Logo Ka Upar Ka Ticket Kata De..

Aur Jis Din Aisa Hoga Usi Din Bharat Ke Logo Ki Aankh Sahi Mein Khul Jayegi.Aur Usi Din Ek Sahi Kranti Ayegi.

Aur Phir Hum Sahi Roop Se Aatankvadiyoen Ki Band Baja Denge.

Behraal Hum Log “BHOOUKANA” Chaloo Rakhe.Shayad Isi Se Kuch Chamatkar Ho Jaye!!!

LAGE RAHO BHAI/BEHEN LOG.

Corruption in india is a real serious matter. People are bothered to fill their pockets as much as they can. and its not just about the govt sector. Owners in the pvt sector badly exploit their employees. Make them work for hours continuously by paying the minimum amount possible.

Yes, corruption has seeped into the private sector also. There is employee as well as customer dissatisfaction there too. At present the private sector is in a worse position in comparison to the government sector.

Good point raised Puneet. I agree that most of the employees in the private sector are exploited by the company's policies. What an irony. In govt sector, employees takes advantage of their posts and in private sector, employers take advantage of the employees.

Its a long way for a country like india to be a superpower. It has lot of internal issues to deal with, before thinking of progressing. The more we read about the nation, the more we come to know about the loopholes in the policies of the country. People are also not happy there...
